We are on the back foot here, Grimsby handling the conditions far better than us and they look a real threat going forward.

Listening on the radio and 0-0 at half time sounded like an achievement. First 35 minutes Stanley under intense pressure, with Ollie Wright earning his crust. But last ten minutes and Stanley sounded like they were getting things together, with good shot from Connor Grant being well saved.
Keep you heads, lads, and get Madden on for last thirty minutes.

Not a good hunting ground for Stanley 1 down Matthews sent off.. 6 mins injury time to pull it round..

Whalley scores a spectacular long rang effort but disallowed for some reason :(

Sounded like Stanley put up a good fight on a very difficult pitch but we?re undone by one good goal from a Championship loanee.
Well done lads, onwards and upwards.

A 1 nil loss away at inform Grimsby probably not a bad result.....Devon's red card and now missing 3 games.....he's going to be a big miss.......Oh well, 7 points needed for safety.....

Nothing wrong with the equaliser, very poor decision by the officials.
As for the sending off, looked like a good tackle on a slippery pitch.

Think John's post match interview says it all, could see he was boiling inside but kept his cool so as not to get himself in more trouble

The pitch took me back to ours some 15 years ago :)

Wright was on fire and so unlucky to end up on the losing side... :(

:)

Harsh red card that one! I watched the highlight in normal time and it was definitely a classic 50/50 challenge. I watched it several times and still thought the same. I managed to freeze the video at 3 minutes and 9 seconds and I believe that Devon got the touch on the ball before the contact. At the ?frozen? moment Devon has his heel on the ground, so it cannot be classed as a high tackle. His toes are slightly raised at this point and that level of physical contact could be classed as a fair tackle with a degree of physicality which some would say could have warranted a yellow card. In my honest opinion it was a firm but fair tackle by a determined strong player and play should have continued with no stoppage in the match!

Most undeserved red cards seem to reflect the acrobatic expertise of the tackled player. In this case, I suspect the Grimsby player*s double pike convinced the liner and ref that it was worse than it was.
