I thought I saw it run under the sideboard but when I looked it wasn't there.
Or maybe it is in the pan cupboard.
No Not possible...couldn't even get a toothpick in there.
Maybe it is under the stairs with the spare heater, the fan and the consumer box.
No.....it isn't there either.
I am sure there are still shreds of it lurking....I can smell it.
It smells like mulled wine, roasted turkey, brussels sprouts...torn paper and cut glass.
It smells of whisky breath and carrots....cheese and pickles.
Anyway, I have looked all over and can't see it...so i hope this means it HAS well and truly departed.
I am always glad to see Christmas heading over the hill in the leaving direction.
I am going now to put a damp cloth on my forehead and lie in a dark room.
Nurse...please bring me my pills and tuck me in.
