Im having a bad day today - already told slinks and i asked if i should do a blog and she said do it but dont put no names and make sure it isnt actionable! lol dont want accyweb being took off the web do we - wot would i do without the chatroom at nite? lol

Anyway here goes. As you know my mum has carers in the morning and at nite. I'm having problems with the care agency. I've rang and told my social worker and shes looking into it so i've gone official. Anyway we've been having problems the times the carers are coming - can u imagine it a 79 yr old woman who goes to bed about 9pm the carers being put down to come at 11.30pm to put her to bed! That happened a couple of week back. Anyway at weekend the carer turned up at 10am to get her up - she was actually down for 10.30! Theyre supposed to come at 9am! next sunday morning they came at 11.15 to get her up! Thats dinner time near enough and supposed to come to get her up and she stopped till 11.40 - i timed her shes supposed to stop for 1hr well 50mins - 10mins travelling time! Anyway this morning no carer turned up! That means mum didnt have her tablets so she was off on one this afternoon. Plus shes a diabetic so this dont go down really well. I was supposed to have been going out this afternoon but i had no chance if shes going off on one we dont know wot she will do. We got told one sat afternoon she was crossing the main road in front of our house that was when i was at work and cars were stopping. The main road is the accy to hassy road and its busy. Im sat here typing this and we got a traffic jam outside my house right now. Anyway back to the story on a Tuesday we have 2 hrs of caring - 1hr for my mum to get her up etc and 1hr for cleaning i cant move heavy stuff etc cos i'm disabled as well. Neither carer turned up. Anyway rang the care agency and the owner said she would look into it why mum hadnt been given her tablets (at that stage i didnt know the carers hadnt been). When i quizzed mum later she said no carers had been so I rang the care agency back up and they said she had gone out and wouldnt be back till tomorrow. So I rang the social worker and she was out but would be back at 4.30. Rang them back and shes looking into it.

So im in a bad mood today - watch chatroom tonite!

But isnt this something! Especially after whats been in the paper this week about the woman who died.
 
Like I said Jen, I'm glad you blogged, people need to be aware that this sort of thing happens with the elderly.
I hope the social services come down on them like a ton of bricks, I really do.
Like I said in my PM.......Its is NEGLECT whichever way you look at it, and that can end up in a prison sentence, so If I was them, i would be really careful about my actions, and what I do, or should I say they are NOT doing in this case.
Good luck Jen, and don't stop til you get the result you want, these people are very good at fobbing people off too.
 
Put everything in writing......send a copy to the Manager of the care agency and the social worker.....keep a copy and threaten to see a solicitor......things should move pretty sharpish for you then.
They are obliged to action written complaints
