Weaver
Hi, My names Geoff, and new to the forum this evening.
Just a brief background for you. Born Roughlee Christmas Eve 1946 ( first baby at Christmas I was told ), early years lived Harcourt Road and went to Peel Park School ( both Infants and junior ), moved up Burnley Road next to my favorite teams Peel Park ground, and eventually ended up in Bash.
Played footy with Baxenden Utd for quite a few years.
Eventually moved away with work to Boston ( Lincs ) in 1987, and again with work in 1990 to Lancaster, where I am now.
I miss Accrington and it's people, and hope to keep in touch through the forum.

Many thanks for reading.

Hi Geoff  [smiley=ello.gif]  My best friend lived in Bash and then moved to Lancaster.  But that was in the 90's and we where only 15!  But nice to meet you  :D

Hello Geoff, I'm new myself, but they certainly make you welcome on this site [smiley=ello.gif]

Funny I lived in Boston (Lincs)  from 1976 to 1986.  Near the Cem down Marion Road past the Fire Station.  Also use to play for Spring Hill WMC, must have been about the same time as you played with "Bash".  I may have legged you up a few times ;D ;D

Hi Darby, It's an excellent forum, with a lot of warmth. I know where you mean in Boston, I lived in Ruskington but worked in Boston for a certain Household textile company ( still do ).  Hmm Springhill WMC !!! we had some cracking games against them, most memorable winning 5-4 away up Springhill, I got floored by my own centre half ( I kept goal ) he clobbered me square on the chin  :P  instead of your centre forward. Brilliant, nice to meet you and welcome to the forum.  [smiley=wave.gif]

[smiley=ello.gif]  Hello there redgps, welcome to the forum. Everybody's mad on here except me, Anne and Janet. ;D

It must be the first time i have been called sane lettie. You dont know me well enough yet. lol

Thanks everyone for your welcomes, made my first visit back to Accy today, for what must be 13 years, people were brilliant as they always were, but hasn't the town centre changed ...... couldn't even find the Halifax BS at first ... ( remember it being on Blackburn road ), still it was great to be back..

hi geoff  I have very strong connections with both bash and lancaster my older brother  as lived up there ever since he got married to a bash lass of course in fact he was the landlord of the dog and partridge pub for a while but that was a few years ago as regards the lancaster  connection my wifes sister and family live there up on abraham heights and the road leading up there from the lights in the city  centre is a disgrace everyone up there must have three cars thank god the traffic in accy is not like that
