With the new tablets I'm sleeping well, but very heavily. I hope I don't have a fire because I'll be burnt to a frazzle, as I'll never hear the smoke alarm.
I have developed a trick to help me get up in the mornings though. The doctor suggested taking half of my first pill in the morning whilst still in bed. That was a good idea, but when the first alarm went off I couldn't turn over enought to reach the pill and the glass of water on the bedside cabinet. This has been solved by taking a bottle of water, and the pill in a dish, placed next to me on the bed. This has worked well this week, and I can get out of bed easier. I only hope I don't suddenly start rolling about in my sleep, as I might wake up thinking I've wet the bed.
I was lying there this morning, waiting for the pill to kick in, when the phone rang. A rather cheery voice with a Bermudan accent, informed me he was Charles ringing on behalf of BT. I did think he was trying to sell me some unwanted service, so I rather snottily asked him what the call was about. He said they'd sent me my phone bill last week and I still hadn't paid it. The money and the bill are on the sideboard downstairs, and I was going to pay it at the post office on my way to Mum's for tea this afternoon.
Any way cheery Charlie has saved me from queueing in the post office to pay my bill, as he said I could pay by card, which I did.
We wished each other a hearty 'have a nice day', and it was over as quickly as it started.
