My advice here is, 'DON'T MAKE WAVES', if you are succesful in any legal action you can guarantee that any monies paid out by HBC would be recovered by them by upping the council tax bracket of the property that you live in to ensure that the money they recover from you is tenfold anything you get from them.chrisp said:Could I take HBC to court.
Because of there lack of management my house is worth £45k less than it should!!!

It looks like Kate Ade has been to better places.
When we complain about the state of the houses we get told no funds.
Would HBC let a privately run company to let their housing stock get this way.
I don't think so.
yes but should the same properties get done over and over again or shuould other people who would probably keep their property in order be given a turn...?WillowTheWhisp said:I believe the money used to bring the private properties up to an acceptable level for human habitation is earmarked as such from central government and cannot be used for any other purpose. There have always been assorted government grants available for various purposes. I remember in the 60s you could get a grant to put in a bathroom and indoor loo if you didn't have one.
