How many Saturday matches have been called off this season? The reason I ask is due to shift work I cant attend midweek games, and was wondering if I should forget my season ticket next season and pay on the gate.
Accrington Stanley have the 4th highest Ground in the football league so it's not really surprising to have games called off this time of year, but at 516ft above sea leval we have a 50/50 chance depending on the weather and with temps at -5.5 last friday night /saturday morning in Accy their was little hope really
.... for full list of grounds click on the link http://www.midfielddynamo.com/stadia...nd_highest.htmAren't we lucky? A ground that's not only one of the highest but also one of the wettest. But at least Ilyas got rid of the slope.

But not the resident slopey shoulders !![]()

Last week, I looked at the calender and decided to take the opportunity to take in the Hereford game. I checked the weather forecasts in advance and called a few people back in Accy and the picture emerging was that of a slight frost but no weather problems, so I came up on thursday night ready for the game. There was no indication of any problem friday; on saturday morning, it seemed OK; then saturday lunchtime, it was off.
So it was a wasted journey - and not a cheap one, at that. Surely there should be some indication on the official site of a probability of a game being on (or not) during the cold weather period, or at least some indication of what is happening and what is the state of the pitch?

It was mentioned at the start of the season, never been mentioned since as far as I knowWasn't there some sort of scheme this season whereby you got credit in the shop for unused tickets.http://www.pnefc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10362~2275118,00.html
Do ya mean 8-45 Friday night or Sat Morning MrT?Who's said covers weren't on?? I was there at 8-45 and after a quick brew helped Buzzer to remove the covers. Don't re-call any Accywebs being there, but I could be wrong!!

I have no problem with that Mr T and no reason to doubt you. I was told by a fan that he was walking his dog at approx 6am Saturday morning and he thought the covers weren't on, I asked him if he was sure because it's still dark and he said "I had a good nosy but I wouldn't swear on the wifes life", crap source of info I think.Who's said covers weren't on??
