Of you've got a particularly greasy window (kids hands are good at this) it may take a couple of goes before you get it clean properly. Grease streaks, even if you think you've got it all off. I hate cleaning mirrors and windows.
Went to Asda The young lady stacking the shelves said they didn't sell kids hands so have not been able to try your tip Willow.

Would it work just as well with a kitten & some windowlene? (I did try a fully grown cat once but found it too large to get right into the corners).
:rofl38:

It's got 4 feet though - use them instead!
Have you ever heard the horrible noise when a cats claw slides down glass? It's like chalk on a blackboard terrible!

You're missing the point totally - if using a cat you must get the cat's co-operation.
You are missing the point completely Willow, Oh, how cruel of you to consider using a LIVE cat, just think of the extra work involved in cleaning those streaks off the glass made by it still breathing!

But if you use a dead one you've got to spend time keeping the fur in a decent condition.

Keep it alive and it does it itself!

In this throw away society, use it once then just dispose of it, over your neighbours wall is a good place, many a good conversation I've had about the decline of mankind when we can treat cats like that, (I suspect they use pigeons for the same job thats what I find on my side of the wall).
:p

All this talk of dead cats is making me feel quite poorly.......I am a friend to cats.....I have 3 all rescued.......even though I know you are all only joking....you are.....aren't you????????

Has anyone got any tips on how to remove permanant marker from kitchen floor tiles or painted walls or microwaves? I have a very talented 3 year old boy who gets creative in all the wrong ways!! and dont say keep the pen away from him it was well away only thing is hes very good at hide and seek.

try neutragena (sp) shampoo

try neutragena (sp) shampoo

If neutragena shampoo can get permenant marker out then i wouldnt put it anywhere near my head!

Thanks but i no longer have the tiles or the microwave all marker traces are now gone as i posted this in 2004!

But thank you for the tip anyway so i will know for when my now 4 month old becomes a 4 year old. x :)

Please help.
lasst week my cat got very ill, and on the emergency trip to the vets the little fella peed in the car, not his fault but i cant get rid of the smell its not nice.

Any ideas?

i was told by the vets when my cat kept marking in my bathroom to use a fairly weak solution of water and biological washing liquid. seemed to work on my carpet. :D
