1. Cos i havent updated this for a while .. ive been trying to get used to life without the cast .. and not overdo it too much ...anyway more about that later .. :D

and 2. I killed a butterfly with an iron ... :eek::eek::eek:

Anyway the cast was took off back on 24th July .. and he said he'd book me in for physio .. they rang me up 2 days later .. next appointment was 9th August .. and i thought well i'll do my old my exercises what i could remember when i went to physio for 3 years for my wrists .. and when i went he said i may have overdone it ..but i did well in getting most of the movement back and gave me 3 exercises to do 10 times each and 3 times a day .. well id been sat here at the computer doing em till it started to hurt then when it eased .. started again ..:eek: so i think thats the bit id overdone. :D He also asked me if i could distinguish between the tenosynavitus pain and the fracture pain ..and i couldnt .. turns out that the tenosynavitus pain had flared up again because of the cast and that was on the back of my hand, the fracture pain was the inside of my wrist..

Just been back to the fracture clinic this morning and he said i didnt have to go back to them .. keep up wi physio and they'll sign me off and took the splint off me and the fracture had fully healed .. perfect.

Last monday some idiot had kicked over most of the plant pots in my back garden .. and id been warned the week before that someone was going to kill all my plants .. well they didnt do too good a job .. i might have lost quite a lot of my ripe blueberries but i managed to rescue the plant and the blueberries that were left are now ripening ..and theyre very nice as well ..:D:D:D the police were called and came out and took the statement .. Anyway my nephew and my nieces mum and teddie came and helped me tidy it all up ... Just need some new pots and more compost ..

Tuesday i was teddie sitting .. teddie my nieces dog .. a shih tzu .. hes not a puppie any more .. hes 2 year old. Teddie ended up refereeing a football kickabout wi my nephew and my brother ... watching em kicking the ball ... :D:D:D he didnt run after it .. just laid there in the middle of the garden .. the lazy dog ..:D:D:D

Thursday A level results day .. and my niece was waiting for her results .. she wanted to go to Leeds Uni to study midwifery .. and she had to get 3 Bs the minimum ... she'd been worried about one of em biology that she wouldnt get the B ...and we were all on pins as well ... she'd had an offer for newcastle but that course didnt start till january ... well .... she did it .. she got an A* in biology, A* in sociology and A in physcology ... and she got her place confirmed at Leeds Uni .. shes done really well ... i said it was all that revising she did sunbathing in my back garden ... :D:D:D So shes off to Leeds next month. Gawd theyre all growing up .... :eek:

So the week started rubbish but it was ending brilliantly .... :D

and then friday morning ... id done my washing earlier on in the week .. and dried it out on the line ... and i didnt realise a butterfly had hidden itself in my works uniform shirt ... and grabbed it fri morning and im not awake in the morning .. and started ironing it .. and this damp spot appeared on the shirt .. and got bigger .. so lifted the shirt off ..and there was a dead butterfly in 3 bits ... a bit squashed .. and me cursing ... i had work in an hour and half ..and no shirt to wear ... then i remembered my old one neatly folded upstairs ... and it took me 15mins to get all the creases out of it .. just managed to make it for the bus ... The spugster says i have to give it a decent burial .. he says theres enough pots and my border to bury it ... not chuck it in the bin .... :D:D:D

So thats been my last week ... :D:D:D

Sorry to hear about the vandals -nasty when you've put time and effort into making something nice.

Glad the hand is well on the mend -my knee is still causing trouble. Things like this give pains which will always crop up from time to time -it's part of getting old I suppose:)

Well done to your neice - a friends daughter finished at Leeds 2 years ago -great place to be a student I'm sure she'll love it and should do well judging by her A-level results.

If it's any consolation the butterfly was probably already dead - they only live for a day...

Glad to hear that you managed to rescue the blueberries.
I just don't get it. Why do morons get pleasure out of wanton destruction like this?

Your neice did really well. Hope she enjoys her time at Leeds.
Keep up with those exercises.

thank you cashy .. your ever so kind ... im feeling guilty enough .. seeing as there isnt that many butterflies around ... lol

i hadnt done nowt with the garden as such this year cos of the flipping cast ... i normally start into it in may ... chucking seeds in etc ..but because of that i couldnt do nowt with it and my nephew didnt come home till beginning june and then we had the rubbish weather .. so there wasnt much in the pots just the lilies (3 pots of em) and the blueberry bush and the lavenders and strawberries and the hosta.. it got me mad .. so most of the pots were empty and most of them were left alone it was just the ones that had something in them and few of the empty ones. thanks for that mobertol .. the spugster has been making me feel guilty ever since friday about the butterfly ... :rolleyes::D:D:D i'll get my own back on him .. :D:D:D
