My sister-in-law has been away in Corfu for the last week....lucky blighter. My sister-in-law is a great help to Muti, she takes her shopping and they have days out together.......I know my Mum thinks of her as another daughter.....so while Debs has been away I have been phoning Muti to find out if she needed anything......I also went up to see her......she said it wasn't necessary as she had everything she needed......I'll say she had.... She had two strapping young men decorating her lounge. No wonder she didn't want me to visit. Anyway the decorating is finished now and it does look very good.....Muti is very pleased with the work these two young men have done......and she has asked them to come back and do some more repairs to her property. Although I have 4 brothers living in this country, none of them visit Muti. It makes me so cross. I'm sure if they got themselves together they could have done this work and Muti could have saved her money. I put this to her, and she wouldn't hear a bad word against her boys.....she says they are all involved in their own lives and don't need to be doing stuff for her. What a load of old tosh that is.

When I phoned today, Muti said she would like to be taken up Ossy. She wanted to get her prescription filled at Nash Chemist, she wanted to get some bread and some very forbidden naughty cakes at Cheadles(she really shouldn't have this stuff as she is a diabetic) and she wanted to have a mooch in the Age Concern shop.

Hubby dropped me off at her house and we had a bit of a natter while he went to the Doctors to get HIS prescription.
I had taken her a feshly cooked chicken leg and some strawberries.....for her lunch.
She was proudly showing me the decorating, and she took me upstairs to show me a bedspread that she wants me to have......
When we got on the landing there was a very strong smell of Eau de Dogmuck........she has been looking after Debs 2 little dogs while she has been away. Although the landing is well lit neither of us could see the offending richard......I said to Muti 'Do you think dog and cat poo has chameleon like properties that allow it to blend in with the carpet?'......just as I said this Muti found the little accident with her shoe. There was much mild cursing going on......I was in fits of laughter, but went to get the loo roll and some disinfectant detergent......just as I was doing the clean up my phone went to say that hubby was on his way over to pick us up and ferry us to Ossy.

Muti did her bit of shopping and I carried the bags......I was laden like a pack horse. Just when I thought we had finished she would say 'oh, I'll just pop in here for a look round' and then would come out with 2 bags of stuff. I tell you, we had 5 bags of shopping.....yet according to Muti she didn't need anything.

Ah well, we had a good morning in the sunshine, and laughed a lot. She phoned me to say that she had the chicken for her tea.....and it was lovely, and that the strawberries were stuffed into the naughty cream slice......which somehow made it 'healthy'.

Muti...you're a gem!

well strawberries added to anything makes it healthy doesn't it??? ha ha. As for dog doo doo it must be the worst smell in the world, worse still when stuck in the bottom of one of my lads astro trainers!!!!!

Hehehehe, at least Muti had her shoe on. I once stood in a dog surprise barefoot on our landing, when the dog was ill... It was most unpleasant, and I had to hop into the bathroom to sluice my foot under the tap.... Yuk!!!

Hehehehe lettie just reminded me, that happened to me once, my dog was ill too. She had doodied right at the bottom of the stairs one morning, someone knocked at the door, I ran down-----------squeltch-----------mmmm not nice.
