They have actually caught a potential illegal immigrant :D

A Mexican national who told airport immigration he was visiting Britain to see a friend was swiftly deported after a search unearthed a good-luck card in his luggage wishing him well for his "new life in the UK."Border Agency officers at Manchester Airport routinely stopped the 40-year-old chef after he arrived on a flight from Los Angeles last Friday.
The man told them he was on a short trip to see a friend who was opening a restaurant in the area.
"However, a search of the passenger's baggage revealed a huge collection of Mexican food recipes and a good-luck card from his church wishing him well for his 'new life in the UK,'" the agency said in a statement.
The man later admitted he had intended to work at the restaurant illegally and had planned to bring his family over from America if he liked it.
He was deported the next day.
"We will not tolerate people coming here to work illegally," the agency said. "People wanting to visit the UK must play by the rules. Those who do not are sent back."

HA...when did they bring that rule into force, utter garbage, its about time they lived by their so called rules

Sounds like a stream of warm brown smelly soft substance from their mouths. I think its an ironey really that this happens to a chef but "certain others" get in n stay even when they are supposed to be given the size 12 up the backside out of the country!!!

Probably sent him back because his English was too good?

PMSL. :D That or he was a threat to all the celeb chefs we have so they paid his return ticket after planting evidence. Shady lot these celeb chefs.

Pity they dont kick out more before they can get embeded enough to start screaming about human rights!!!!

Wonder if they actually did the job properly and investigated the restaurant he was going to work at

no our Border Security is the standing joke of Europe n we are n island. should be the best.

So where did they send him back to , the US or Mexico , happen they won't let him back into the US and he ends up living in the airport like the guy in the movie

Could make a living in the airport cookin for passengers stuck due to late and cancelled flights. :D

...and if you're a Romanian beggar you'll still be able to come here without let or hinderance, completely legally, because every single mainstream British politician thinks the EU is a good thing!

I dont think you will get a favourable response to that one Steve from the politicans
We are expected to toe the line and not question the good offices of our betters...In a pigs eye.
We are sheep in the eyes of our national politicians and frowned upon by local politicians....Opinion does not count at a local level or national level and questions are answered by questions which have no relevence.
I think the EU sucks and the countries that have benefitted from EU grants have made a right town halls of it, Malta being one.
I asked a question in another thread ' Where has the money gone'
Money was paid to Malta to build a new motorway, the motorway has not been built but the money has gone...'where has the money gone'?

Not surprised, the EU is riddled with corruption and freeloading, so much so that its own auditors have refused to sign the accounts off for 12 years running. Labour, Tory and LibDem politicians don't want to talk about that, because it's an uncomfortable truth that they'd rather sweep under the carpet!

Its evident that this guy didn't know the magic word ASYLUM, they would have to let him stay while they looked into his claim then when he was refused he just have to do what the rest of the failed asylum seekers do stick two fingers up and get on with their lives:(

If he'd have worn a different hat the chances are he wouldn't have been spotted on the radar.
