it's been a while

I know it has been a long while since I have blogged and I must get back to doing it more regularly as they are good to read back over time!!

Well I am sat at home when I should be at work due to being involved in a bump in my car last friday... or should I say i was rear ended and shunted into the back of a lorry. My car came off remarkably well out of it but the person who hit me, unfortunately her car is a write off and she was only 3rd party!!

I am off work due to a shoulder injury and of course it has aggravated my back condition... but oh how I hate been stuck in the house. Thank goodness for good friends

I'm hoping this is the last of my bad run of luck as there has been quite a few things going on, some which I don't want to go into on here but I can tell you ...I'VE HAD ENOUGH and am now looking to the future and the good run of luck that I am due.

Recently had a sudden death of a close family friend which on top of everything else was hard to deal with, especially when at the funeral you have your children on one side upset and your mum on the other and I was trying to be the strong one . Some may think taking children to a funeral is a bad idea but they are 13 & 14 and they actually asked if they could go to say their goodbyes, and to be honest I think it is another learning curve for them.... how to deal with bereavement.

Something to look forward to is our summer hol that I have booked.. we are going to turkey in 5 weeks and it is probably the break that I need.

It's me and my 2 boys and we are going all inclusive for 2 weeks

It was funny really.. I walked into the travel agents and just said, right I can go on these dates ... for two weeks.... all inclusive... but I don't know where I want to go apart from it being somewhere I haven't been before. So after an hour of searching we found this one, then I said I would book it if she could bring up "holidas uncovered" first so I could get honest opinions about the hotel and area. Well out of about a dozen entries there was only 1 negative and that was due to food poisoning.. and we all know you can get that almost anywhere. The rest were singing their praises.. so I booked it Funniest thing was when I got back home and rang my friend to say had booked hol, it turns out we are going to the same resort and she is only flying out 2 days before me. So we have said we can meet up a few times whilst out there... should be fun

You were right to take you children to the funeral...especially as they asked to go. Life is all about taking the knocks.

I hope you have a wondeful Holiday and that the next five weeks fly by....but that your two weeks just saunter along nicely.

I agree with taking the kids to the funeral. When it was my mums my youngest niece went and she was 11 then. And she got up with my nephew who was 16, other nephew who was 13 and niece who is 18. I think its a way of saying good bye to them and remembering them as well.

I know what its like to be in an accident - i had a fit while driving and crashed the car into a wall and ended up with whiplash in lower back, upper back, neck and both shoulders. Thing is i've still got it now every so often they'll be sore and i need to painkillers. Goodluck getting better!
