Just an aside.

Beacon of light
Overlooker
I said in my last post that I do not watch much TV.
This is because I am discriminating.
I detest the Judge Judy, Jeremy Kyle type shows.I don't mind documentaries and like the National geographical stuff.
I also like some of the Sky Arts programs.
I have got to an age where time is against me and I prefer to occupy myself with something entertaining. Something that does not play to the lowest common denominator.
I like a good laugh...alas comedy shows are few and far between.
So I do other stuff. I read a lot.
I surf the web on my computer.
I make crafty things.

Last week Spindles(who is growing like a weed trapped in conny muck) came home and told us that his head of year at school had just been told that she has cancer.
He was upset about this because he knows only too well what this will mean for her family...even if there is a favourable outcome. He knows that for the next six months or so they are going to be put through the mill.
Anyway, they are having a fund raising event at school. The proceeds will go to Macmillan.
I have promised the school that I will make 50 greetings cards for them to sell(or get donations for).
I think that this will probably turn into 75 or even a hundred because I have got 25 made already.
I have also got some money that I collected as donations for cards made in the past. I was going to send it to Macmillan, but I will give it to the school as part of their fund raising.
So TV is no loss to me...I have other fish to fry.

That is a wonderful gesture, Margaret. So sad to hear of good people suffering, it's cruel. Let's hope the lady does beat this awful thing.
