Kev Long

[Pendle Red]

Fair credit to Coley for sticking by the lad particulary after his debut game.

I think that descision to stand by him is beginning to pay dividends along with a run of first team games for Kevin it is a big jump up from reserve football to first team football first in terms of fitness (match sharpness) learning to slot into perhaps different systems.

I would be tempted as BDC has said to even try to make it a season long loan deal that would be beneficial for us, the lad himself & Burnley?

[Pendle Red]

Alex McDonald would be another one at Burnley worth looking at for a loan move

He always impresses when I see him play for the reserves and he knows where the net is, would certainly add a different dimension to our strikeforce

agree wi pendle red, think a rest of season loan would benefit all parties. lets hope it will happen.

Re: Kevin Long

Transfer News.
Tuesday 14th Dec 2010.
Long extends stay.

Kevin Long has extended his loan spell at the Crown Ground until January 11th.

The 20-year-old Burnley defender has made eight appearances for the Reds in his two months at the club so far.

I, for one like this lad, only problem is, we will be seeing Sunbeds out of position for a few more games!!! Now that the defence is sorted, it will not be long before we have the attack sorted!!!!

[cashman]

happy the loans extended, think the lad has improved wi games.

[Grimps]

been on burnleys web long here untill 15 jan 11 not 11

[football19]

do think he is getting better,in particular his positioning.
Think for his development,Hesseys his better partner( just because hes more vocal)

If only we were able to loan in......

I don't think you can keep Long after his spell so presumably you could swap one for another
