does anyone know if kwik save is shutting down?
went past today and the place looks near enough empty:(
seen no staff either only one on the fag counter, the place looked a sorry state!!
 
I heard a while ago that kwik save/somerfields were being taken over but I cannot mind who by...the one in burnley was almost empty for a couple of weeks too
 
I went in today. No fags on the shelves what so ever. Hope it's not shutting down coz it has the freshest milk in town.
Ice land dont do the small cartons.
 
Ours up near us has been empty for months literally they dont have fags they are stocked with loads of crap stuff like butterbeans, and they have even widened the isles so there are less shelves and makes them look fuller the staff say they dont know whats going on but i just think they not saying!
 
It seems Kwik Save,stores all over, have gone to the dogs.. I used to go there a lot ,it was cheap and good ,now its dear and rubbish .:sad8:
 
It could always re-open as Victor Value, like the one further down in't 80's!:rolleyes:

That got taken over by KS if the memory serves right, there was two of 'em on the same street! never heard of that before...
 
it wont be missed, it was not as good as it used to be when it was further up where peacocks is now. maybe they could change it into cost cutters!!;)

think yer correct spud,before that the top one was Tesco.
 
I had heard that Tesco were looking at the 3 empty units in the Arndale opposite Iceland but now Kwik Save might be a better bet for them.
