Thanks to Garinda and H.R. for your comments about my last entry.
H.R......do you think that fate knew I was going to meet that chap again...that's why I was compelled to pick out the same skirt....? I have to say I found it truly spooky.
It has been so hot recently...and humid. In fact not unlike the climate in Brisbane......maybe that's what it was eh?
I have had a frozen shoulder since the beginning of October....but the heat hasn't made it thaw out yet. I might melt, but my shoulder stays determinedly frozen...like it is made of stone.
It has been a blooming nuisance......having to lower my head to comb my hair......not being able to fasten my bra....... struggling to shampoo my hair........wiping my bum.....don't ask! And if I don't remember to put my 'bad' arm into a sleeve first...well, don't I just know about it! I can't sleep on the affected side.......and if by some chance i do roll over onto the bad side the pain wakens me up.....ah the joys of getting older. I console myself with the thought that if I can feel the pain at least I know I haven't died in the night!
NO....I haven't been to see the doctor...you know I don't 'do' illness and doctors. I have taken my voltarol intermittently...just like you aren't supposed to.......I have used heat and cold packs to stimulate the blood flow.....I have not stopped using the affected arm and I have been using some light hand weights and tried some stretching exercises...but all the literature suggests that I could be in for another 9 months of limited movement and discomfort. My grandma used to suffer with this condition and I remember laughing when she had to bend her head to comb her hair.....I bet she is somewhere up in heaven laughing her socks off.
There is a moral in there somewhere.
