Lazybones

I wish we did not have to play around with the clocks.
I hope you remembered to put you clocks BACK one hour last night........and to remember which way the clocks go I tell myself 'Fall(autumn) back. Spring forward'

Turning the clocks back is, for me, a real pain.
I went to bed at my normal time last night, even though himself said I should stay up later. After all he mused, we get an extra hour in bed tomorrow.
Yes, well that is fine in theory. Except for me it doesn't work like that. My internal body clock takes longer than one night to reset.

I was reading until 1am....but I rationalised that this was just midnight.
I slept fitfully and woke up at my usual 6.30 am...but because the clocks had been turned back it was really 5.30 am.
On any other day I lie there and contemplate the days doings...my plan of attack if you like, for half an hour.......that would still only take me to 6am.
Who on earth wants to be up and at 'em at 6am on a Sunday morning?
The cat was meowing for her breakfast at 6.30(which was 7.30 on yesterdays time - quite a reasonable time to be wanting your breakfast if you are a cat).
Himself is like a coiled spring and jumps out of bed every morning at 6.30.....must be something to do with his falling caffeine level.
This morning he was awake at his usual BST time......but didn't spring up( he knew I would not be impressed by him clattering around the kitchen at that ungodly hour on a Sunday morning). Why is it that making instant coffee is so noisy anyway? do you really have to sing, whistle and clatter mugs about?

He tossed and turned and generally made a nuisance of himself in bed for the next hour....untill the clock said 6.30 (GMT), then he got up and left me in bed fuming that I was awake, it was light...but too early for me to raise myself.
In the end I did rise at 8.30(which was really 7.30 on BST) and it grieved me to do so.
I am not really a lazy bones....just a creature of habit.

I know it will take me about three weeks to reset my own body clock.....and in the intervening time I might just be a tad grumpy and irritable. Bear with me. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

The clocks in my part of the world change over next weekend, and I'm not looking forward to it, as like yourself Margaret, I find it messes up all kinds of things. Not least of which is my cat Miss Pris, who already wakes me up for her breakfast far too early for my liking. She starts getting hungry and making efforts to wake me at around 4.30 am on average! It's going to be a long couple of weeks until we all adjust :)

It has done my body clock no good at all.
By 9pm last night I was wilting. On other issues.....my belly was rumbling at 4pm(5pm BST) yesterday and during the afternoon I was twitched about not hving thisngs in the oven by my body clock time...and as for toilet habits....I won't mention those other than to say they are disrupted.
