Life........

Life, eh? Here I have been moaning about not being able to enjoy a cup of tea......about having no appetite, and no energy.......and out there is a young man grappling with a serious illness......and causing great worry and concern to his lovely family.
They are, over the coming weeks and months going to be on a roller coaster of emotions.
They will swing between hope and despair.
They will look up heavenward and make the most fantastic promises...... if only he can be made well again.
They will meet people in similar situations, they will meet people in much worse situations.
They will wonder why they moaned about things before and wonder if life is ever going to be 'Normal' again.
They will meet dedicated professional people who will lift them when they need it the most.......they will find friends they never knew existed.(and some of the folk you thought were friends may disappear into the woodwork...tho, I hope they don't)
It is when you are faced with problems of monumental proportions that you find out how very generous people can be.
I think we tend to see all the bad in the world and not much of the good....and situations like Mez, Dan and Jet are in show us that there are a lot of good people in the world.
Mez, keep up your blog.......you will enlighten many of us on here about the really important things in life...rather than the petty niggles that we make much of(me included)...and it will give you focus too.
It will allow you to rage if you want to......or moan if you need to, but mostly it will be a vent for your feelings and anxieties.

And Mez...I'm sorry I stole your title...but in effect it is your subject anyway.

thank you margaret for this blog you have summed up exactly what will happen in the coming months & i will refer back to it again & again & say " you are perfectly correct margaret " bless you ... mez x x

Mez......I am speaking from personal experience.
I have been there....with Ma, and with my Dad too.
Ma is the survivor........8 years now.
Also I faced a similar situation when hubby had a stroke.
Someone(up there) chucks this great bomb into your life.....and it is never the same again.
Don't get me wrong, it can be good again, but never the same.

These happenings change your whole perspective on life.......and allow you to see what is important and what is just 'chaff'.
