Tuesday 17th march.
Jet picked me up at 9-30am & off we went to the royal orthorpeadic in Birmingham,
We arrived at the hospital & went into see dan .....he was sleeping ...bless him, he eventually woke
up & saw us , he was really grumpy , we put it down to being nervous about the results.
We went for lunch & went back into dan but oh dear & the grumps really set in , i suggested a walk
onto the balcony outside to look at the garden, as it was a lovely sunny day , i said i’d get a
wheelchair...(bad move on my part)
oh my gosh ..youd have thought i was gonna throw him in the river or something ... so we got over
that , we knew he was nervous , but no matter what we said to him his grumpy head was on.
We eventually at about 4pm decided to ask if we were getting the results today ....no they said ,
he’s not on the list, so questions were asked , dan now really down , eventually at 5pm the sister
came to see us & answered the questions we wanted to know but NOT THE RESULTS OF HIS BYOPSY
Daniel had thought that he could come home with us but...oh no no chance .......now a few tears &
more grumps , bless him.... but he is coming home on Thursday by patient transport , oh gosh you’d
think we had literally thrown him in the river ...he didn’t want that he didn’t want to come home in
no ambulance, oh dear our poor dan he’s not coping with this , he’s in denial & we are both in
agreement that he is now going into a depression , it is only to be expected but tough to deal
with at the minuet, we will be seeking advice. I just hope he’s ok once he gets home & in his own home ....
now we have to wait until Tuesday for his results .

Mez, I am really sorry that you didn't get the results of the biopsy. I am sure that the weekend has been very fraught for you and the family.
It doesn't help when things don't go to plan....and the waiting is painful and it seems like it goes on and on.

I am sure that Dan has been trying to stay brave, but so many things have changed for him in such a short space of time. It is inevitable that he will be snappy and 'down'.( I would bet that he really wants to scream and shout at the injustice of it all....or even cry like a baby....and be cuddled like one too)
You say that you are going to seek help for him when he comes home......and that is the right thing to do.
I hope that your GP can put you in touch with the best help there is.
Love and Hugs ((((((((((x))))))))))
