Has anyone tried any of his new cook-in sauces yet?

i'm not one for using jars of sauces when cooking, i generally make things from scratch, but the other week i decided to try one of his new sauces for spag bol.

The smoky bacon one is lovely and highly recommended

Sauces

accyweb, its over to you :D

I thought you were going to say he was dead.................. i have tried them in the past so i don`t know if they were `new` ones but i must agree they were very good, the Jamie Oliver ones are good too, although not on the cheap side.

pmsfl, maybe you should start a petition for a 'food' page on this forum then lol

i paid £1.68 for the sauce from Morrisons, they have the tomato one on offer in Asda at the moment for £1, not tried that one though

i'll have to have a look at the Jamie Oliver ones n'all, i like him :D

I prefer Pataks if making food out of the jar. Mind you I will try anything providing it dosnt cost half a liver a kidney and lung to buy. Thing is ther is Lloyd n Jamie at this sauce carry on so any others of tv fame doing em?

Hugh might be doing a tesco chicken one ;) (lol i doubt that very much)

Is that the one were he is supposed to be changinging Tesco? I have more chance of getting 3 Michelin Stars than that happening. These sauces are handy but are they all as good as they claim to be?

the curry ones are good, especially the madras one which is spicy. the italian sauces that lloyd does gives me indigestion especially the one with smoked bacon ....:-)

being a qualified chef I'd rather make my own sauces. Persoanlly I find his accent grates so much I'd not buy his endorsed products [1] on principles :D

[1] anyone who thinks he has a clue of what went into them is misguided. He sold his name for a few quid thats all.....(and fair dos to him if some people are willing to pay extra for a picture of some minor celeb on the front of a jar of mass produced stuff. anyone want to buy the rights to use "Entwisi's Tech seal of Approval"? yours for only £20K You can even put it on a copy of Windows for that much!! :D )
