:alright:Great result which has done our goal difference a bit of good.Thought that Macclesfield started well and I was worried by the presence of 3 or 4 quite tall players in their starting line up.:confused: They had a couple of early chances before we even got the ball near their penalty box. Was Hessey subbed so early due to a reoccurence of his injury?:dancedog: Bavs did well today and doesn't he love it when he keeps a clean sheet...dancin' daft at the end!! I thought that Charlie had his best game of the season and he was such an attacking force, eg taking on the full backs and getting to the goal line, pulling the ball back...3rd goal I think? He along with others worked their socks off today. The players seem to have started to play without the need to look up for team mates.. :hesoff:they are playing with that familiarity that makes for slick football. We now seem to be developing a fairly settled first eleven that can cope with the odd enforced change..Micah played well today and chased back well in defence a number of times. Paddy covers a lot of ground and for his size he does really well against much bigger opponents. Great to see Craig score again and his confidence is growing every game. I agree that I hope we can keep BIG KEV. He has grown physically from being tall and lean in the last 12 months and is becoming more broad shouldered...:stop:he is like a rock at the heart of the defence. Also he is a big threat up front at set pieces and is getting goals too. I hope we can get him for the rest of the season. I have said it before...Coley and Jimmy are masters at rebuilding the team on a shoestring budget. Especially the way they seem to be able to renew the vigour of older players but also rebuild the confidence of younger players who have been passed over by other clubs. Thought the Ref had a good game today n worth a mention, unusual as it was:D played advantage fer both sides a few times n game flowed pretty well,imho.

Dont think that Referee's Assistant on 't Main Stand side were a proper one though Cashy, perhaps a trainee ??....a bit of a ditherer when a decision was asked of him ..imho !!..
Agree with you about the Ref though !.
 
Just one thought for the Maccs who consider they were the better team - if you don't shoot you don't score. The reason being, we never let them get a sniff!

To be honest in first 45 i thought they were as good as us, our defence was superb this aft. fer me that made the difference maccs were dodgy, still they didn't make as many chances as stanley,so em saying they were better team is just excuse making.;)
 
It was good to see JC use his subs earlier in the game than waiting til just 5 mins left then bring subs on. I thought that a good move.
