Well we did a job on Mcleod but let Barnet,s other 9 outfield players run riot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they came with a game plan, stuck with it and got the points we were poor today no more to be said.

There was only one team of promotion contenders out there today and it wasn't Stanley on that showing. Barnet gave us a footballing lesson, completely outplaying us after our bright start. Whereas we increasingly lumped the ball in the air towards their 6'5" back four giants, they played with good pace, control and incisive movement while we looked like we were wearing ice skates instead of studded boots. If McCleod hadn't left his shooting boots at home it could easily have been a 5 goal thrashing. Apart from Lindfields effort in the first half I can't remember their goalie having to make a save. With quality footballers like Coid, Barnett, Bender and Craney on the bench we seemed to have shot ourselves in the foot, and although we immediately looked a bit more threatening after Charlie and Craney came on, it was too little, too late. I thought all our front three were poor today and Joyce and Procter struggled to make anything happen in midfield. A bad day at the office, and although we looked worryingly fragile at the back I would make Deano my MOM as he had to bail out his colleagues far too often.

listened to the game on radio and seems that stanley were not at the game today something not remotely expected after recent performances and frankly totally dissapointed and dejected but hey it's Saturday just booked the hotel for Torquay away and gonna have a glass of wine and then a curry....there's always next week!

Well I think the less said about today the better, Barnet had done their homework. No wonder Sanchez was at the Burton game, he knew our every move.

Make no mistake the referee had a poor game, but im taking nothing away from Barnet, the small lad (number 10) ran the game, his speed and passing was class, and scored a good goal. Thankfully for us Mcleod was poor, or it really could have been a cricket score.

Maybe the lads where abit complacent after smashing Burton, not so any more I dont think. Every one of them had a nightmare.

Postive's??? Honestly absolutely none for me today,,,,,,, Not said that in a while, Hopefully just a blip. :(

Very poor showing from Stanley today, lacked any real-bite or threat going forward too much side to side stuff whilst also giving possession away far too easy instead of trying to get it down and pass it through the middle and create space for runners.

Credit though to the Bees as they had done their homework and broke everything up with relative ease whilst looking a threat every time they went forward and scored some good goals.

A great opportunity to break into the top seven today fluffed, hopefully just a blip and we will return to winning ways next Saturday, don't get me wrong I am well chuffed with where we are but after we have raised the bar so high with results & performances it is so disappointing to just not turn up:(

Our esteemed Captain.
Jeez!
Didn't hear that, but what about those loudspeakers? I am totally deaf without my hearing aids and turned them both off at half time because of the horrendous, tuneless blasting rubbish coming over the LOUDspeakers, but I could still hear them!!! Bringing my cable cutters next time.

Redraine seems to have nailed it,but we should mention the playing surface, which was shocking and handed them the advantage.
It was hard/soft/rutted and messi would have struggled on it!!
The iced area never took a stud so making the game narrow and there back four of giants loved it.
We are not the most mobile of teams and rely on moving the ball quickly, when you have to take 2 or 3 touches this makes us less effective.
Saying that,I thought they had bags of pace, closed us down and really did a number on us,better on the day in all departments,so they deserve a lot of credit.

The choice of MoM is ludicrous The sponsers musta been the "Blind School"

Thought P Amond should have got MOM,
Did not play particularly well, but was all over pitch, He also tried to stop Barnet wasting time by retreiving the ball on many occasions.

Agree but if yeh have to pick one would be Winnard or Amond fer me.
No-one played that well today n Barnet earned the points no question, I did say amond or winnard fer me Billy. no objection to either of those if they had been named. I take hope from the fact,we can't play that crap again, ...........Can we?

I don't quite understand that, 19. The surface didn't seem to hamper them too much as they pinged the ball about, and their winger gave Macca and Murphy a torrid time on the "sunny" side. I may be wrong, but I think he switched wings after half time in order to exploit the better conditions.
