You've just reminded me, we were in the pub one day and this gypsy woman read my hand, I think I got her a bottle of stout as payment although she didn't want anything. Ian was laughing at me for listening so she read his face, he was gob-smacked she was spot on about everything. It was quite uncanny!!:D

Yes the Gypsy that my mum spoke to knew she was pregnant with Tinks DAYS before my mum did.

Yes very!!

I believe SOME have the gift of being able to sense things!! That is my opinion and every body has a right to wonder, think and believe in what they wish to!! after all that is what makes us all unique and interesting

I record my messages so that my partner and my mother can listen to them, It’s surprising how my recurring themes come through over the course of a few months, it is the consistency of the messages that as surprised me and in some respects opened my eyes.

The more I think about that gypsy woman the more amazed I am, Ian came home a few times after that when he had seen her, she really freaked him out. Each time she told him something about his life and she was always right, put it this way he doesn't laugh it off anymore!!;)
 
I used to go to the Christian spiritualist church in Preston a couple of times a week when we lived there.
I used to take MUMMIBOO for the weekend service and on the way home we'd stop to put a pound in the arcade ans share a bag of chips for supper.
Her treat for the week.
I miss that little place it's full of love and has brought me so much comfort through bad times over the years.
There was a medium that lived in Blackpool called Elaine Marler that was very good.
Sue Cook Is Sherman and spiritual healer. I know her very well she's a lovely woman and people that have seen her think she's wonderful.
 
I remember about 8 years ago when i was researching in Accrington library i took my mum along because she had just had a hysterectomy and wanted to learn about the internet. Wen we aere there i printed some thing off the printer behind the desk and my mum picked them up. As she did a man from another computer walked up to her and had a conversation about the family which totally spooked her out things he knew where freaky and said if she wanted to know more to meet him outside as people were watching!!! Totally freaked out she came back to the computer and told me of the things he had said to her. I told her to go out and meet him( it was during the day so no risk of attack!) When she came back he had told her that she had had an operation that had taken something away she was still in pain but it will get better and he told her that my brother was in the forces and he wears a grey uniform which he does because hes in the RAF. He also said some other things i cant remember what but it was soooo weird. WE had never met or seen him in accrington before and apparantly he used to pull people aside quite regularly in accrington town centre to tell them things for no money or thanks. He seemed to see himself and helping people and that was all the payment he needed!!!!
 
been to see Derek Acorah:p, at ossy town hall, but never got a 'message' from beyond.:(, would love to have a one to one, to see if hes as good as they say he is though:rolleyes:
 
I went to the Burnley Spiritualist Church once in the late 60s, with a lady friend who didn't want to go alone. She got a message from her deceased uncle and was overjoyed and burst into tears.
There was no message for me but the clairvoyant told me I had 'the psycic eye' and recommended I attend their 'development classes'. I never went back because the service had a basic christian theme, and invoved praying and hymn singing which I am not into at all. (as an atheist I was not comfortable) That does not mean that I do not believe in life after death - I do - but I do not accept the concept of deities/god(s)
 
Religion itself isn’t the basis of spiritualism; in fact the Spiritualist Church is free of the ideology of any specific religion and welcomes anyone irrespective of their beliefs, religious background, race or creed. However, their needs to be a focal point and still being a Christian country we tend to pray and sing along Christian themes which you the individual can chose to participate in or not. Other Church’s or development circles do their own thing but then run the risk of being labelled satanic or some other unchristian element. Even some elements of the Christian Church still do the pointy finger bit at spiritualist.

The up shot is that any true Spiritualist Church will welcome you and permit you to hold your beliefs and still participate in the service; you don’t have to sing or pray to a Christian God. Just God or Spirit or any other form you choose, it helps if you have the light on your side and good thoughts towards your fellow man, there’s good and bad is us all and thoughts are living things, used wisely you can do a lot a good.

Unfortunately religions (by their very nature) produce bigots.
Today, yet again I have deterred a 'bible thumper' from pestering the man next door (he has 'learning difficulties' - his mother has asked me to)
I have no patience with people who believe the existance of the Earth as being due to a 'divine being', but neither do I press my beliefs on them, and I dont expect them to try change mine (they regard that as being a good person/christian)
You dont need to be a christian to be a good person - just need to respect the rights of others to have a different belief

Doug's right the spiritualist church welcomes anybody and everybody. The visiting mediums don't get paid for what they do, they just get their travel expenses.
they are just a channel for our spirit friends to get their messages across to their loved ones.
my Nana was psychic. She used to read the tea leaves but would only do so if pressured.
She was never wrong in what she told people. She used to tell me never to pay money to anybody saying they have a gift.
She told me if people have been given a gift then they will not charge people. They are given these gifts to help people not to make a living out of them.
She was a wise old lady my Nan.
She went to the spiritualist church when she was younger but stopped going because of people ( family members mostly ) teasing her.
I once pestered and pestered her to read my leavs when I'd just turned 16 and as usual she gave in. She saw an eagle in my cup and begged me to stay in that night because it meant danger.
As usual should have listened to her, but did I? No. Going out with Mick was the only thing on my mind. on the way home I was hit by a car and still have the scar's to this day.

I'm not sure if she's seeing people at the moment because I know she's been ill.
But if she is then she is well worth a visit. She's very good. you may have to wait a good while for an appointment because she's always very busy.
