It is with deep regret to inform everyone that my dad Michael Gordon Blackledge and moderator of Accrington web also passed at at 5.30am on Friday morning. He was a Grandad a Farther a Brother and a Husband. His funeral details will be posted in due course his family would really like to See your support there if possible as he was a member for many years before becoming very ill. He will be missed so so dearly

Paul...My sincere condolences to you and your family.
I am saddened beyond belief that Mick has left us.
Please know that your dad was a truly remarkable man...loved by all those who met him and some of those who only knew him from the forum.
Mick(your Dad) was a one off...he could get on with anybody..saw the good in people and would help anyone if he could.

He has, over the years, had a hard burden to carry.
I am pretty sure that as much as you all loved him, you would not wish him back for a second unless he could be Mick that was well.
There is going to be a 'Mick shaped' hole in all our lives...yours and the families will be the hardest to bear.
For you, and the family I wish you the kindness and support you need....from friends and family alike.
Life will go on. It won't be the same life, but it will be the best that you can make it under the circumstances.
Just be assured that Mick was loved.

You never get over the loss of a parent...you just learn different ways of coping with him not being here.
Paul, I know you do not need to be told this...but I am going to say it anyway...Look after your mum....she is going to feel lonely and lost.

My deepest sympathy to you and yours.
Margaret P xx
