I received my first print run of properly printed stuff - it looks nice. I'll still be sending out the odd personal letter but now the Labour party process has kicked in. Actually, I had a bit of a disappointment with a letter that I wanted to send out. I had written one that they thought might be a bit controversial and persuaded me to edit it a bit. I agreed with them because at the end of the day they are the experts and I'm the rookie so I have to learn. It's partly down to my enthusiasm but it's also my general approach to life to confront head on rather than hide stuff. So, although I'm still not hiding anything it's not quite the bull in a china shop way that I would normally do things.
I went leafleting again today and now have a whacking great bruise on the back of my hand from the cruel, bullying letter boxes that some sado-masochistic folk have.
Have got most of my signators in place for my form. Just need to pop round and visit a few people tomorrow to get it completed. Then I've got to get it back to the Labour office so that they can check I've done it right and submit it for me.
Have also been working on the door knocking strategy with Dorothy. I'm quite lucky with my ward in that it's mainly terraced houses and flat streets so shouldn't be too hard to cover.
