I thought that with the football I would get plenty of practice in the Arcade....and that plenty of practice would sharpen up my skills........WRONG, despite all the practice I think I have actually got worse. I have even introduced the tiny terror to Gold Miner......he cheers when I get a big lump of gold or a gem....and says 'Damn' when I get a rock........he wants to get his hands on the keyboard to have a go himself....but, I daren't let him because I am afraid he would do better than me! How bad would that be.........? Being beaten by a child of two and a half.
I don't know whether I should mention this.....I am a bit scared of putting the mockers on things....but my daughter put her house up for sale two weeks ago. She had one young man to see the property on Saturday and had another couple booked for a viewing today...but the estate agents rang her to say that the young chap had put an offer in for the house....so it looks like it is sold. While the house has been on the market(all of two weeks) I have tried to help out a bit by having the tiny terror....and on Saturday we had both of the kidlidids while the viewings were being done....the tinlids weren't too much of a problem but hubby was.....he hasn't much patience and I could hear him saying 'don't touch that'.....'come out of there'.... 'leave that alone'....etc. I was reading Letties blog and all I can say is 'Dogs......NO problem!'
Daughter and her hubby had looked at a few properties......they need one with three bedrooms and room for the children to play....you know, somewhere that you can shut the door and leave the toys out. The place they have at the moment just isn't big enough and there is no room for the children to play....anyway there was a house for sale quite near us, so they went and had a look at it. It does need quite a bit of work doing but it is mostly cosmetic....though the kitchen and bathroom do need to be updated......anyway they have put an offer in and it has been accepted.......I am touching wood and crossing everything as I say this.
It will be more convenient for my daughter...and certainly more convenient for me if I need to mind the children at short notice. The schools are close by........and if daughter does manage to pursue her chosen career...close to the motorway....the only downside for her is it is close to US!
I have promised to help with the curtains and soft furnishings....because you don't realise how such things can eat into your budget when you move.....as invariably nothing that you have fits the property you move to.
I am quite a dab hand at curtains. So I expect to be blowing the dust off the old machine.
Hubby has promised to help with any decorating too so I may be blowing the dust off him as well!
