Blazey, in her recent blog, made some observations about bloggers.......more to the point, she was surmising why people write a blog.
She felt that it might just be because we bloggers have narcissistic tendencies......and there may be an element of truth in that for some people.
I write my blog because I enjoy writing it.
it isn't really a 'navel gazing' exercise.......I frequently go back over old episodes of my blog.......and I find that when I am reading the old episodes, I can re-live the time I was writing about........I can laugh at myself, and at what I wrote.......if there were tensions in my life at the time I was writing, I can see how I solved the problems...or not, as the case maybe.
There have been times that I have consulted my blog to confirm the date of a particular happening or event(even if this has only been to settle a dispute with himself).
I have, on the odd occasion, read them out to my Ma and she has found them illuminating and funny.......though I have to say there are some episodes which I would draw a veil over if she asked me about them.
So.....these are my reasons, justifications, call them what you will, for writing a blog.......and I think that in the dim and distant past I have already blogged about this........but maybe my reasons/thoughts have changed since then.
