Nasty bugs this year

This winter [if u can call it winter really] has been bad for nasty illness bugs going about, especially the flu. Not well again as got the flu bug yet again - not long ago i got shut of a poorly 4 days, looks like im in for another bad session but worse this time as hardly slept last night cos struggling with bad congestion in the nose & throat:(

Anyone else suffering ??
 
yeah i have nausia, dodgy tummy , slight headache and my eyesight is blury

luckily i drank quite a lot of alchol last night so it shoudl fight off whatever is causing me to feel unwell :)

Yes but from a tummy bug thats going round. Might need to set up a sleeping bag in the bathroom at this rate. Cant sleep, cant eat properley and as for anything stonger than water its out of the window. :(
 
Luckily not so much as a sniffle this year, although I did have a flu jab, but that doesn't protect you from colds.

Hope you feel better soon x

Yeh was a bit like that a few weeks back also combined with flu, its not nice, hope u feel better soon:D

Hope so I feel like I have run 3 marathons in three days as it has ripped the stuffing out of me. :( Just glad I am backshift this week as I dont think I could handle the madness of dayshift.

You confined to bed or are you swaning around with half the wardrobe on?
 
Last weekend my friends reminded me how I used to tease them about how I never got colds when I lived in Scotland.

They were always going down with bugs, and I used to tease them that as a smoker my lungs were stronger than theirs at fighting off infection, unlike their non smoking lungs.

How they laughed when they reminded me what I used to say, as I took my handful of Parkinson's drugs.:D

Confined to bed so far overdosing on vicks :D thank god for peace no kiddies as at school so least can rest a bit till they get home, running bath with some radox & hope that makes me feel a bit better as i ache badly. Hope u manage the late shift:)

LOL tho least scotland is at permanent temperature of - cold !! LOL think its been the mildness thats brought these bugs out. Actually smoking is helping lol.... least its clearing the snoz from my throat :D I think i've got 2 lots of it this year as i didnt really get it last year - so i've to make up for it LOL!!
 
I haven't had a cold or flu yet this winter (touch wood), I just know I'm going to catch something now!

Well move to Scotland and be safe from cold and flu. Them bugs hate up here its too evil even for them.

I had flu over Christmas, starting on December 23rd. It was real flu, nothing to do with a cold, just a terrible cough, aching limbs and a high temperature. I was unable to get out of bed for 4 days, as my legs wouldn't support me, then I was poorly for another 2 weeks. It took 2 more weeks after that before I began to get my strength back - hadn't been so ill for years.

Now that we're getting near Spring and the days are getting longer I think all out immune systems get a bit of a boost but, unfortunately, it never seems to work with colds. I haven't had a cold for nearly a year - oops! -where's a bit of wood to touch?......... :(
 
i know how your feeling mel, i was the same last week and the week before,tired all the time but couldnt sleep properly, hot,bunged up nose,sick,and aching all over....it aint nice :(

Yup thats exactly it Shaz, altho its put me on my aching back too, i hate feeling like this & dont make a good patient, im usually a burst of good health most of the time:rolleyes:
