New kit release!

If you are the Reds you don't wear stripes! Ask Liverpool. And why Red stripes? If you need a change for the sake of change, why not something more dramatic, like Maroon and Gold hoops, or something else that has nothing to do with Stanley?

Accrington Stanley have worn Red shirts for 115 years with one exception, 1961-62. Omen?:(

I think it looks very professional! Nice to see a break from the same old solid red or red with white flashes shirts we usually wear.:alright:

I agree Greger.
Stanley in stripes just isn't right!
I suppose I am just a boring old .... and yes I am a believer in tradition so in my view STANLEY should be in FULL RED SHIRTS and, dare I say it, in white shorts too!:jimbo:
I believe that you can still apply the long standing red and white colour scheme but with an ultra modern design incorporated and Stanley players will look superb!
:alright:
Stripes just remind me of Pyjamas!!!:bingobang:help:
If we played in blue and white we would look like BANANAS IN PYJAMAS!!!!:Banane48::Banane40::banane58:

You can guarantee if you designed the shirt there will be others who dislike it, it's how football fans roll :)

Have to say I expected the shirt to get a lot more flak from the traditionalists than has happened, maybe they are still speech less :D

I would have given flak, but was too disgusted, seems to me those making decisions, have no concept at all of tradition. or they just dont give a toss, nowt shocks me any more.

Tradition went out of football years ago, no matter how much we dont like it.

I'm slowly getting used to the idea of stripes & it could have been worse, we could've had hoops & horizontal stripes don't do me any favours

Thank goodness not!!

It's ASFC's home shirt, and as we're the only pro club supplied by Mitre (which is rather strange) it is unique to ASFC:)

Obviously the stripes are in anticipation of the new sponsors:- The Guild of British Barbers:rolleyes:
I too remember a big change to Stanley's traditional red shirt to a white shirt with a single, central red hoop. As Greger said, let's hope the Voodoo Gods of Football are not involved.

Not really!

Cardiff had their colours and tradition trampled on by a rich Malaysian before they won their colours back. But at least he was Rich!

Didn't they get promoted to the Premier League in that changed kit for the first time in their history ?

First time since, oh lets see........

1962 Season.................... SPOOKY

Yes, promotion and cash still didn't bribe the Cardiff fans. Where is the Stanley equivalent cash one might wonder.

Maybe the Accrington can be dropped and juts use Stanley?

Team in red and white stripes normally start with S.
