New Kit

I miss the days when all club business was discussed on Accrington Fish Market.

Maybe I'm not cut out to be a supporter of a league club?

I empathise, TM.

If only football could have continued without advertising, sponsorship, replica kits etc.

Personally, I blame that Jimmy Hill for making players expect more than £20 a week .

I'm not questioning the design of this years red shirt, only the quality of it. it's awful, very flimsy and woe betide if you get velcro anywhere near it, it plucks like buggery!!!

The design is very nice but I kinda wish i hadn't bought mine as i'm constantly worried about ruining it!

I think the stewards should be kept away from the team as they come out of the changing rooms, especialy those rubbing them up and down with velcro.:D

The Supporters' Club retains the confidence of ASFC because , when asked to keep something quiet , it does.

have you read the thread... the world and his dog knows about it... as a secret it leaves a lot to be desired... maybe half a dozen people didnt know.. (i can only see three but i do tend to exagerate)

is it really that important? its like keeping a pregnancy secret.... i mean everyone was gonna find out wasnt they so whats the point? :)

we are getting a new kit.... top secret stuff eh :) :) :)

Ok thanks for the explanation guys.. wasnt meaning to have a go at the supporters club...

Jimbo T :horn8:blower
I never thought you were Jimbo .

It was just an explanation of why we've been quiet on the matter.

As far as I'm aware it hasn't even been mentioned on the Supporters' Club forum , either.

If the Club's Directors ask us not to broadcast confidential information then we respect that request.

Happy Easter !

Realistically, though, I for one would have been more surprised if there was no new kit next season... :)

i think its gonna be made by surridge sports after looking at the new leisure wear in the clubshop today

its a shame the new kit maker isnt prostar.. thats quality clothing...

So you know that the maker isn't Prostar. So you know who it is.

Why keep it a secret ? It's like a pregnancy - we'll all get to know soon enough.

look back 3 posts henry.. its already been said.... at the time i posted the bit you quote.. no one had even asked who was making it...

its considered good manners to read the thread your replying to :)

Are the kits gonna be sold just at the shop & Ossie Mills again like this season or can we expect a wider local retail outlet to get the replica shirt???

I think the more widley available & handier to get hold of an outlet the better for people to buy the shirt/kit as it is with other club shirts. I missed out on getting a shirt this year because they had sold out at christmas at the clubshop & can be ballache to keep going there or ossie mills certainly without transport plus when ive been at the match they haven't had my size, least town is more accessible to all locals.

Just a thought

jase it would be a miracle if you were to observe any rank or structure ever!!!

Its got nothing to do with the supporters club, the point being made was that as members of the supporters club who attended the meeting in question we were given a piece of 'priveledged' information and asked to respect the wishes of the club regarding it, so we did.

I've known for the best part of 2 months who the new kit was gonna be made by, and as recently as saturday night i was asked not to say anything. I respected the the clubs wishes. Something that you don't appear to understand.

The club does have an outlet in the Fraser Eagle shop on Blackburn Road in town
