Not as daft as I first thought,Paul Lodge has played in every division,managed a few semi pro teams,worked as coach under Coley and may be ready for the step up,players like him as well ----save a few quid as well :)

Was sacked after 6 months though from his last management job though?? That makes me a bit nervous.:eek: Should have said next last, Did 2 months at Chorley after that.

Think at Chorley he brought in a load of young players and as a famous pundit once said "you don't win nothing with kids"!!!!

Could definitely do a lot worse, Stephenson Lodge & Beattie (maybe?) could be the answer

Could be a good move, PROVIDING one or both have great motivational skills, good contacts within the game, great tactical awareness and iron constitutions, to name but four qualities. Maybe you have an informed view on the first of these, Football19?
 
Good respected football people, like Frank said,maybe add Beattie or A N Other and we get a bit of continuity.Do we need a marque signing ?,it's a avenue I would definitely consider.
 
Any truth that the real reason behind the rumours about Fergie leaving Man United is that he fancies a crack at the top job at the Crown Ground!!

I wouldn't, he's having a hip operation and will miss the start of the season -we aint paying to have him in a hospital bed!!

According to the L.E.T. the short list is drawn up n interviews are next week, according to Mr.Marsden.
 
I'm firmly on the fence regarding the JC debate, but I am quite clear that whatever happens, it needs to happen soon!!

Like the idea someone mentioned of james as assistant to the guy who got it now.;)
 
Andy Hessenthaler has apparently said that no contact has been made, But would be happy to talk if the club wish to make contact!

Not really how job application process works is it Andy?!

Experience is a must, but its the old story, little money means choice is going to be restricted to would be Football League Managers, or people no other club wants. Coleman & Bell have not been in a position to secure a League job over recent months, so why should we have them back. They will revert back to the old pals act, and reduce the dole figures for Merseyside. No thanks Alvi
