New Year...........

Seems a new tradition is becoming more and more entrenched in my area , members of one 'ethnic' group think its ok to go out at mid-night and shoot their guns into the air , the dumb idiots seem to forget that what goes up , eventually has to come down . Fortunatly the sheriffs dept. is getting wise and now sets up sound moniters which can recognize the sound of gunfire and triangalate the location , and go and pick the clowns up before damage is done .

Don't forget an extra second before Big Ben chimes.....or is that still undergoing maintenance. :)

I'm gonna start getting ready soon, only going out for an hour or two over midnight then home to bed, no doubt the little ones will have me up early enough so am being good :D

Well, we are back from a cracking `night` out in Manchester, just want to wish all Accywebbers a Happy New Year before the red wine kicks in.........................all the best:D

i'm not saying it to you AGAIN, already did that in another thread ;)

I'm staying at home, watching telly and having a few JD and cokes. :)

I've always disliked going out on New Year's Eve because I can't be doing with random strangers coming up to me at midnight, flinging their bulk at me and screeching 'Happy New Year'. :(

Due to this if I did go out I would come home before midnight.

We'll go out Friday or Saturday when this will not be happening, nor will we have to stand at the bar for half an hour to get a drink. :mosher:

Hope you all have a happy and healthy 2009.

Well i am stopping in all on my own:( The wife has been called into work a 10pm to 8am shift tonight:D

We have another hour to go yet

Margrit....guess what....I know.
Get in the festive spirit and celabrate both...I do.
I will be ringing my Grandson at 12 your time to wish him all the best.

Guess when you live in a place you tend to take it for granted , one of my favourite times is whenever I travel to the UK and the planes starts it descent into London from somewhere over Scotland and you see all the green fields and countryside spread-out down below you . ;)

LOL, i know what you mean.....although i certainly don`t take Accrington for granted......i`d much prefer to see goose bay in Canada on my approach into North America......:D
