New Years Eve.......

it doesn't seem more than two minutes since it was the last New Years Eve.......and I was probably bemoaning the fact that I had only just got the old year to fit, when they were making me have a new one.
I can't help it, it is a tradition with me......everyone else goes out getting leathered, strutting their stuff, shaking their booty.......and I sit here and tap away at my blog and complain about how much I dislike New Year........well, perhaps not quite dislike, but perhaps distrust.
I get an uneasy feeling.....the feeling that the New Year has something nasty waiting in the wings to trip me up, or bite me on the bum.
I never approach the New Year with a feeling of hope or optimism....and it isn't that I am a 'glass half empty' person.
It is just the way it is and has always been....well, as far as I can remember.

In about half an hour I will get to bed with my book and hope to sleep untill around.......February, by which time, you lot will have rubbed some of the rough edges of the New Year.......New Decade even.

Anyway, that's enough of me being carmudgeonly.
Happy New Year Folks.......I hope it is a really good one.

happy new year margaret to you n all family,i look at new year this way- Thats another ive survived, so feel quite pleased, especially the way i lived when younger.:D;)

All the best to you and yours Marg, guess I sort of view new year like you. We can never know just what life is going to throw at us but have to get on and cope with it. You have had a lot to cope with in the last year with family deaths, just hope 2010 is kinder to you, Berniexx
