Next time we will.......

I was talking to Ma today.....we were saying what a lovely time we had last week......and wishing we were still on holiday...well, except that the Isle of Wight will be over run with pop music lovers......and both of us are a bit long in the tooth for shaking our booty.

Ma was saying that if we ever go again and it is in the season, we are going to get tickets for the Island Breezer...this will let us be more independent about where we want to go....and of course we will be able to stay in places of interest a little bit longer.
That is one of the problems (if you want to call it that) with coach tours......you sit all day on the coach and are given maybe an hour at places where you'd like to perhaps spend half a day.
Like at Godshill....I would really have loved to go around the model village, and spend a bit more time in the Smithy gardens......and perhaps have lunch at the Loaves and Fishes......an hour and a half isn't nearly long enough. (Having Ma in the wheelchair means that I don't get around as fast as some of the other folk on the bus too.....especially in the places that have uneven pavements and cobbles.....and yes, the hills. They slow me down quite a bit. I forget that I am getting older too.)
I know that the service buses go to these places too, but the Breezer goes to all the places the tourists want to visit, without all the tedious in between stops....and you can get on and off the bus at will......so that is the plan for next time.

Ma is already looking at a four day break in Llandudno in a couple of weeks......but I think my sister-in-law Debs has been enlisted for this trip......though, if I am asked, I guess I would go.

Oh I think you should make your trips into a play.

It would make a fantastic Play for Today.

Glad you both had a great time.

You were missed.:)
