Well gone a month without not drinking and it does seem strange going into the pub and ordering a j20 instead of a pint of lager and walking out of the pub sober instead of either slightly inebriated. What gets me though is the price of the j20 comparing it to a pint plus the prices of a j20 in the different pubs you go in. The price varies from £1.20 to £1.70 for a j20 compare that to a pint varying between £1.59 and £2.40 you realise where the pubs make their money - on the non-alcoholic drinks they sell to the drivers! Doesnt make you want to not drink does it?
Anyway the Bash Pool league started again last night. Thats Monday nights to next april took over! We played the A team! We were short of players to say we were playing the A team and supposedly after last thursday night we were up for it. We've been playing in the hyndburn summer league this year but only one team because of everyone going on hols etc the pub said only 1 team. We havent done too badly! We beat the black horse last week and i played in a doubles match and won. We beat the black horse as well. Anyway last night as i said we were playing the A team and it ended up 5-4. They won. I won my doubles match - potted 4 balls in 2 shots and put the black over the pocket for my playing partner to pot it!
Lost my stanley virginity - as macca put it - last week. I went to my 1st stanley match with tinks, accymel & mthead. Met macca and kisser in the social club down bury. Then we walked round and went in the ground. Best was i sent a txt message to my bro and told him if he were coming down to my house that i wasnt there not to be worried gone to bury vs stanley match. Walking along talking to tinks & mel next thing i heard was hiya jen OI when i ignored it. When looked round it was my bro! He'd been at home and was thinking nowt on telly and he thought he'd go down to bury to watch the footie. He'd got my txt message just as he was walking in the ground! lol So he came and sat with us and he brought me home instead of tinks & mt bringing me home. Typical tho cant go anywhere without bumping into someone who knows me or my family!
