Not again!

I have procrastinated for two days before putting this in my blog.
Daughter came over to tea on Sunday.......still heavily pregnant......and fed up+++
I did the usual Roast beef, yorkie puds...the lot.......followed that up with sticky toffee pudding and cream.
Daughter had been complaining of backache, has had backache and hip pain for 3 months.
We had bought a massage seat earlier that day........I suggested that daughter might like to try the massage seat.
She said it was 'aaaah heaven'
The little whirlwind was staying with us.......so daughter and hubby crept out while I had him in the bath.

Early hours of Monday morning I got a text message to say that daughter had been up since 1 am with pains.
They came over to our house and dropped off the dog and then went back home.......about 10:30 she went into hospital......didn't hear anymore until we got a phone call at 19:20 to say that she had just had a baby girl.......8lb 8ozs......both were well.
Hubby (mine) was moist eyed.......well, he does the emotions and I do the practicals......it should work well, but it doesn't really.
He can't get his head around my dislike of babies.......all babies.

Someone congratulated me on Tuesday morning and I asked what for......and she said she had heard about the baby......I told her I hadn't done anything to be congratulated for.......maybe it was churlish of me....... and it did cause some.....er, I suppose you could call it ill feeling, between the two of us.
I try telling him that I haven't changed........and that if I spent my time gurgling and cooing over this new arrival my daughter would know it was false. I am very happy to give practial support......but I can't do the cooing and gurgling at any price.
