This week has been ... scary is that the word ... im in recovery again .. had another one on tuesday nite... and theres fence building going on....
anyway to the fence building .. At easter my brother came and said the garage is coming down ... i'll be down tomorrow morning to start emptying it and taking everything to the tip... Now in that garage was everything and anything ... it was the dumping ground for the whole family ... there was my sisters pogo stick from 40 years ago, my nieces bike from 30 years ago, 3 lawnmowers - 1 of em one of the first flymo's my dad had bought when they first came out, bikes from anyone, tools that hadnt seen daylight for 30 years, there was our old sideboard that my dad had nicked for his tools 33 year ago .... so it was get up early ..and make a start. We also found a wasps nest ... which my brother grabbed found there was a wasp in there and threw it through the garage door .. just missing the open boot of his car and into the bushes
There was a phone call made to my niece .. she said she wanted her bike .. she has a daughter same age she was when she got the bike and was thinking about doing it up for her .. she said naahhh i dont want it ... so off it went to the tip with everything else ... brother made numerous trips to the tip ... and it seemed strange seeing it empty .. after seeing it for years with bits and pieces in it ...
The next day he came down with a pile of tools .. saws electric saws sledgehammer just for starters .. then a big toolbox and extension lead ... and he started .. started the big electric saw .. and off he went, chopping away ... gets up on to the roof of the garage .. i was wondering whether it would hold his weight ... it did ... so it was pulled down .. my neighbour has one of them firepits and took the wood that would burn for it .. the rest got chopped up and thrown in the back of brothers car and up to the tip....
Now we needed a fence where the garage was. And that was this weeks project ... as my brother is on holiday this week from work ... so might has well put him to work!!! Whats a fella for .. DIY... as DinG says He'd been to size it up .. to know exactly how much wood he'd need ... and you know what ... he didnt get enough!!! He went round pricing it up ... and got it delivered this morning from Jewsons it was cheapest ... and the creosote .. or whatever it is nowadays ... and i got the job of drawing round a template ..and 
ive ruined my nails - it took so long to grow them .. and now ive torn both my thumbnails halfway down my thumb!!!! Rest of em are ok .. so far ... Then i got the job of creosoting the posts ... i finally finished that about 7.00pm tonight ...
Tomorrow my brothers picking my not so little nephew up ... and he'll be doing the rest of the creosoting ... or well he best be!!!
