old post cards and copyrights

I notice there a few pictures taken from old post cards of Accrington and Oswaldtwistle on the site...

is it ok to use these with copyright and so on: just curious : I have some old post cards and would like to use them on my site...

Erm not too sure but as with owt best to credit the sources you obtained the postcards from that way would cover your bum a little if they should be a problem, otherwise not got a full answer for you.
