I'm off out tonight for a drink, and am looking forward to it immensely. It has been a hard week emotionally, and a night having fun sounds like a very good idea.
My cousin is shocked at how much there is to do in the aftermath of a death, I remember from when Dad died. In a way it's a good thing, there is so much to do you have to keep going. It's after the funeral when things return to 'normal', that you have the time to start grieving properly.
People always say to you it will get easier, you don't believe them, but it does. I found it was a lot easier when we'd got through the first year. The first Christmas, birthday, holiday. Nothing's ever the same, but a new normality is found. I guess thats life, new generations come and old ones leave to make room.
Anyway after going to Mum's for our Friday tea, and catching up with University challenge, I'm going to get ready and have a bloody good night on the tiles.
