The first casualty, surprised it took so long with all the dumbheads in Accy:rolleyes: Still, it looks like they have a chrome post growing to replace the tree:p

Well that didnt last long did it? They'll be soon removing them again & why didnt they put the chrome posts a lot higher to protect the tree more? or is that too much common sence? :rolleyes:
 
Was it picked up on CCTV monitoring the area? If not why not?

Can't have anything nice can we grrrrrrr :(

it saddens me to think that some perverted person achieved some pleasure out of this mindless act of vandalism.

And yes.....with one camera per 14 people...why was the culprit not seen and apprehended.......whoever it is, needs to have a sensitive bit of their anatomy snapped off

Just been down town... theres a camera on the corner of gamestation a couple of feet away from the broken tree. I hope this was picked up.. otherwise why are the CCTV there?

Urgently wanted for questioning, after having been seen leaving a kebab shop in Church Street, and then heading towards Burnley Road, in a drunken fashion at approximately 2.45am Saturday 4th November, 2006.

Mimi has just informed me that this damage has been done since Thursday at least. Why haven't the council taken action?

It would take just a minute or less to remove the tree at its broken trunk so that at least it is less obvious. At the time of taking the photo, the gent in the picture shows his displeasure in his face, multiply that a few hundred times on a Saturday - - - :eek:
 
Just looking at that photo, have you seen the state of all the chewy marks on the ground?!

I walked through the town centre at 9:30 pm on Wednesday night, it was like that then.

That's really ashame. Why can't kids these days enjoy the old pasttime of cow tipping. It's so much more challenging.

I do hope they catch the little buggers. Nice punishment for em (after Rindy gets through with em) would be to put em in pink coveralls and have them all scrub the walks with toothbrushes!:) IMHO;)

its pathetic really :( , and the fact the council seem happy to leave the pathetic looking thing on display rather than sorting it and want for better words..."nip it in the bud"!!! ok you can all groan now :rolleyes:

cctv is ok but where are the local cops , why are they not walking the town center beat, one of the 'worst' moments in my life was being grabbed by the scruff of the neck by a foot patrol cop whilst in the middle of a quick s**g in a recessed doorway in the Warner st. shopping arcade , aside from threats to notify the girls parents and arrest me for public intoxication/indecency the possibility of our names and addresses appearing in the local press was enough for us to proceed quietly on our way home, (me with my tail between my legs )
