.. is flipping hard work ...

you actually dont realise how much you use your hands for especially both hands .. until you cant use one ..and especially if you right handed and it is your right handed one taken out of commission!
like im used to typing wi both hands .. learnt how to type when i was 14 and its now down to 1 finger .. tho its probably easier for me because i know were all the letters are on the keyboard ... i started typing this at 11.16pm .. and finished at 11.39pm thats too long for me
oh and the mouse .. im getting used to it now but still press the left instead of the right ...
opening a tin is a no go area ... cos you need both hands to use the tin opener. luckily i have a kettle tipper and thats easier to make myself a brew!!! cooking i cant handle a knife proper ... have got that down to an art form ... holding it between 2 fingers on my right hand and guiding it with my left ... bit dangerous but i havent slipped yet ...
im actually living on ready meals done in the microwave ..cos i cant lift anything out the oven and cant cut anything .. can only use a fork ... so lamb chops, steak, chicken etc all need to be cut .. and i cant do it ..
anyway im eating more fruit to make sure im getting my 4/5 a day ...
showers .. wrapped in a carrier bag wi a elastic band round the end of it to keep it dry - co-op carrier bags dont have the holes in the bottom so your ok .. tesco and asda do!! or pedal bin liners lol then you got the fun of getting the shampoo out the bottle .. its a good juggle but it can be done ... youd be proud of me if youd seen what i was like ... think i should go for being aa one handed juggler at next years BGT!!!
and when youve finished leave the carrierbag in the shower or sink for it to dry off tho if you do leave it in the shower dont turn the shower on before rescuing it ..
then theres washing up onehanded ..and dont forget you not allowed to get the cast wet ... the water can and does come over the top of the washing up bowl and over the top of the sink .... so hold your cast hand behind your back ...
oh and it does take longer ... roundabout twice as long .. cheat leave em to soak overnite - theyre easier to wash ...
taking pics cameras are used to right handeders arent they ... have had some fun try ing to get used to that ...
anyway i'll think of some more my finger needs a rest!
