While we have been away from home, the weather had not been very kind to us.
This house where we are staying is perched way on the tops of Great Harwood...it is in an exposed spot.
So when the rain was bucketing down, there was a fast flowing river running down the side of the house....and when it has been windy, the wind has whistled around the house.
Fortunately for us, the house is warm and well protected from the storm.
A couple of days have been fine...or perhaps I should say that periods of the day have been fine.
During these fine spells I have taken the opportunity to put on my boots, my weatherproof coat and I have trekked over the tops.
I always have my pocket camera with me so I took a few snaps.
I asked himself to bring me my superzoom camera.
I told him it was in a pink camera bag by the side of the wardrobe in our bedroom...so when he turned up with my red camera bag...with a camera whose battery was as dead as a dodo...I wasn't best pleased.
As it happened Ma had run out of Diabetic testing strips so I had to go back to her house to get some.
On the way back I stopped off and got the camera I wanted himself to bring me.
That afternoon the sun shone, the birds sang and although it was a bit blowy and fresh I stepped out to take some pictures.
When I get back on home ground I will be posting these on the forum...but until then, if you want a sneaky peek, here is where they are.

I hope you like them...this was the 'fun' part of my break away from home.
Oh yes, and I think himself has missed me...even though we have face timed and he has visited...it apparently isn't the same as me being there.
