I am getting really excited now, honestly, I can barely contain my bladder. We are off to New Zealand on thursday, I have just 2 more nights to work then off.....
I haven't yet packed, or even started. I don't know why I leave things until the last minute but I always do. I'll chuck everything into a case about 30 minutes before I leave for the airport, that's the way I've always done it.
I remember holidays as a kid, we used to go to Butlins at Skeggy. My mum would start packing for all of us at least 6 weeks before the holiday. We would have new socks, white ones instead of the slightly greyish ones which had been ruined in the wash. We would also have some new clothes too, clothes which we were dying to wear but couldn't have them until the holiday, just in case we ruined them. We were always peeved about not being able to have our new clothes, and having to wait. Patience is certainly not one of my virtues..
These days, If I buy anything new for a holiday, I wear it anyway.. It is often still going through the dryer as I start to pack my case and gets chucked in at the last minute. How times change eh.....
