Panic over!

Early this morning, at just after midnight, my p.c. crashed. I was having three conversations on MSN, I was reading and posting in the threads. At the same time I was clicking on a very funny link in the chatroom Fearon had told me to check out.

I kept trying to reconnect. The more it wouldn't work, the more grumpy and panicy I became. Surely it wasn't my service provider again, which had kept me off for 16 hours and 33 minutes last month?

Sadly I went to bed, and when setting the alarm noticed Chav had sent me a text, so I replied and told him what had happened. He said he'd tried to call my landline and couldn't get through. I checked the phone by my bed and there was no dial tone. I was then instucted by text to check all the connections, and then to try to plug my phone directly into the main socket. Still no tone, and hence no joy.

I retired to bed, for a relatively early night listening to the radio. Thoughts were racing through my mind, was it was going to be like the other month, when my landline was down for over three days? No one elses mind, just mine because of a fault in a box near Ossy Mills!

After a disturbed sleep, having nightmares about how I was going to survive without the internet and coming on here, the first thing I did on waking was reach for the phone by the bed.

Purrrrr.

Result.

I rushed downstairs, to double check it wasn't a dream, and here I am, panic over.

Life can continue.

Sad obsession, or a vital life line?
