Have the newspapers got it right?
"MPs given a pay rise of 15%"
If they have then they certainly don't have a conscience - everyone else (almost), have frozen pay, minimal rises, or even effective reduction in pensions and reduction in benefits.
I wonder if our MP is going to accept his rise, or possibly donate it to charity, and if there was a vote on this rise, how did he vote?

well they certainly deserve one, have just had £21 a week deducted from me Old age Pension............... Cos ive also got a work pension. Perhaps i'd have spent me life better as a dollop-er, they seem to get everything going.

Know just how you feel Cashy, I have private pensions as well. Just waiting to see if our MPs acolytes dare come on here and try to justify this:rolleyes::mad:

Barry, according to the MoS(washes mouth out) it may be a recommendation by the ISPA( in charge of MPs salaries and expenses) for £10000 which may be spread over 5 years. Even then it would 3% a year, more than most people are getting.

cashman, I'm puzzled why your work pension affects your OAP, I thought they were unconnected( I don't mean to pry, just seems strange).

I also thought they were unconnected Gordon, until i got a phone call last week. yeh aint the only beggar thats puzzled.

I know the trouble Joan had with her pension when she retired it was a bleeding nightmare, it took her 3 months to sort it out.

I've been paying in to a private pension for years, often skinting myself in the process. Didn't know they would knock it off your state pension. Makes you wonder if it's all worth it.

cashy probably because you were contracted out of state earning related pension with
contributions going toward your works pension

they actually wanted a lot more than %15 but decided to try and not look greedy

i dont knwo why they need a payrise one of them i think it was ian duncan arsehole smith said people can live on about £52 wasnt it he said ?

just never forget its them on benefit with cancer ,parkinsons and many other disseases that are teh true leeching scum of this country

not them ?

Perhaps the good folk of Hyndburn would like to nominate me to stand at the next General Election?
I have no policies, no intention of improving anyone's lot except my own, wouldn't be involved in expenses scandal because, I probably wouldn't even attend the big house.
The advantages?
1 less on benefits, I would still post on AccyWeb so you can curse your MP personally for doing nothing to improve any situation you have a grievance about, Oh! I might just protest about a £10,000 increase after all compared with what I exist on at the moment the wages they get could keep me in a far more comfortable manner than the one I am now used to.

We'll need a name for this party any suggestions? (keep in mind that, New Labour, Conservative & Liberal Democrats have already been taken).

I've found a Logo for the party:-

How about "The New Railway Party"?

:hehetable:thepint::thepint::thepint::bar:

We could then have a "Party in the Railway":thepint:
