Peas

Took the bag off this morning and there was frost on the leaves!
Next time temps are forecast that low,the strawbs are coming inside
 
None of the peas make it in my house either!
Off the plant and straight in my mouth.

I am like Flashy though I just plant them straight into the compost?
Is it good or bad doing it like this?
 
Heth,for me it`s the bee`s knee`s,quick`n easy.No duds.

My peas are now about 2" high and I have managed to keep the slugs away.

Try half sown direct and half germinated on your windowsill (if you have any room)
 
I am going to try this Steve just to see, I have loads of peas left and I dont mind eating them all!! :D

Mine have just started sprouting outside.
 
Well my 1st lot of purple pods are 2ft high,in flower but the colour in the leaves has faded badly and they are really thin,cant see them growing to 6ft like last years.Don`t know if I should have put some fertiliser or something in the soil before planting.Hmm
 
Not going to wait for a failure,took out the purples,too weak and spindly,resown with regular pea pods direct in the soil and two troughs as well,I like peas!!
 
still not brought a pea pod into the house,eating half a dozen every night,good job I planted 2 more troughs..
 
I managed to eat a few purple podded peas this week.Two troughs of regular peas should be ready next week.
