My brother in law helped me to shift my old suite this morning. I had no idea how I would fit it through the front door and puzzled over it for several hours yesterday. My brother in law came to the house, flipped the settee onto its side and straight through the front door, the chair swiftly followed. I was agog........the whole thing was out of the house and in the back of the van in less than 2 minutes..............bloody hell!!!! that guy's good.:D In under half an hour I was home washing the carpet.

My lack of domestic effort lately meant that I had to hoover first before dragging out the carpet washer. I have managed to do the living room and believe me, the water was black when I emptied the machine. The carpet doesn't look that much cleaner, but it does smell a bit less doggy.

Due to having no suite until tomorrow, I am now sat in front of the tv on a garden recliner. What a total peasant I must look.:o

I spent all of yesterday editing my 4th chapter, it has changed quite drastically from the original and I am now over the word count so may have to start chopping depending on how many words I have when I've edited the intro and the conclusion.

I was going to start those edits this afternoon but....... it was nice and I don't get many weekends off. My nephew wanted to go to the park and asked if I'd take his cousin (my niece) too. I got to thinking that never again will he be 5 years, 1 week and 4 days old and I should take them both out and enjoy the fact that at this age they still want to be in my company. So I thought 'stuff the work' it will get done eventually and I went and picked him up. We called for Ellie and her mummy and went to Rhyddings Park for a couple of hours. they played on the slides and swings, ran in the grass, laughed and screeched and then we all went for a walk and an ice cream. On the way home the thunder started, we dropped Ellie and Grego off then ran like bats out of hell back to the car because of the downpour. I had left a load of washing out, so I drove Charlie home and went to rescue my washing.

So here I sit, on my garden chair with the laptop on my knee. It isn't very comfortable and I don't think that I can bear to do any work sat like this so............I'm going to have an evening off, have a huge glass of wine and watch Lost..:D
