Phew, I've got my ten signatures. It was a bit of a strange thing to do really but it was a necessity. It seems even stranger to find it a strange thing to do when after all I was only getting ten signatures and ultimately I have to get around 800 votes. I mean, I know a lot of people who live in Ossy but it's split up into three wards so a lot of the people live outside my ward. Plus, without being absolutely sure about people's politics it didn't seem right to ask just anybody just in case they were offended or uncomfortable with it. Anyway, I made a few calls and then had a drive round to visit them all and got it done.
So now I can drop my form into Labour office nice and early so that Doreen can double check I've done it right and submit it.
I've been leafleting again today and the bruise on my hand is now a rather nice colour. Why do people have such springy letter boxes? Or is it just me that can't post things correctly?
Next step is door to door canvasing which will begin in earnest next week.
