Well, the Germanic muttering and under the breath expletives continued.
Himself said that one of the screw type legs that are there to make sure the machine can be made level was 'bent'.
I went to bed with this on my brain...oh yes, and the fact that my sister was on her long flight back to Brisbane(I had a quick squizz on Flight Radar to see exactly where she was in the world - she was just flying over Jakarta).
I got up this morning and told himself that the machine we had removed....which will be for the tip, had these screw type things....and being the same make, perhaps one of those would fit.
I went over to Daughters mid morning and was tersely summoned home.
Himself was fiddling with the washer....the braces were removed last night, but he needed to pull out the machine....check the screwy feet and then we would be good to try the machine.
I looked at the screwy foot that he said was bent....it was not bent, the rubber bit had just got out of position...he had pulled the screwy feet off the old machine, but as I had sorted the bent one, they were not(at this point) needed.(I am going to keep them though - just in case.
I am not sure if these modifications have done the job...I have a small load of washing in right now.
We will know when we reach the spin cycle...if it does an Irish jig then we need to think of something else...I am hoping, wit fingers crossed that it is all OK...and if it is you will hear me say 'phew' from wherever you are!
I am quite perturbed if I tell the truth....domestic appliances usually die in threes!
