More poetic than nasty.I see you're drinking at the Well of Loneliness.

Is that your attempt at being nasty? a mouthdul of bile?
P.S. If you're sticking around here long-term, referencing avatars is never wise, if they're oft changed. It makes your posts look more unhinged than ever, to any future viewer.

No Garinda, I don't do nastiness, or bile or venom. Nastiness is in the eye of the beholder.Although your woeful attemp at nastiness must be applauded, for at least being more accurate them some guff.

I Perhaps it's worth remembering that new members aren't always experienced in the etiquette of internet posting and grant them a bit of slack when they start posting, unless they're completely offensive?

I always think of a forum like this as going to the pub. Would you walk up to a group of strangers and start rambling or would you get to know who's who first ?![]()

I am happy being the lone wolf.

Kind of interesting view. But myself I don't think that view fits. I suppose that depends on the kind of person you are.
Take me for example. I couldn't(more than wouldn't) walk up to a group of strangers in a pub. Seriously that is something I simply cannot do. That kind of thing comes naturally for some.
But. It is dead simple for me to join a forum and introduce myself. In a pub there isn't a board where you can print a note and pin it up saying "Hi my name is Restless. I like Computers, Technology and I am a pretentious singer-songwriter wannabee. Pleased to meet you"

It was only a scenario, I don't drink so rarely go in a pub![]()

Yeh but point here is simple, most that now know one another didn't before accyweb fact, Most of us got to know each other by turning up at accyweb meets n meeting folk who had very different points of view on certain subjects, We were all newbies at some point, but no-ones ever come to blows in fact most have become good mates who still disagree on certain issues n always will, Its mainly namby pambys, moaners, n tarts that don't mix in my view, one day perhaps the penny will drop n they may just get a life.Nah. It almost makes sense here. Not for all forums. But here. Here some of the 'Clique' for want of a better term know each other personally or "in the pub" so to speak. So for newbies here to face them. It is a little like going into the pub as you say.

..it makes me laugh when older members welcome newbies in the introduction thread and then slam em on their first posts..
